Monopiles: Ørsted and PGE, Baltica 02
The Joint Venture between Navantia Seaenrgies and Windar Renovables manufactures these 77 monopiles of approximately 110 metres in maximum length, weighing over 2,000 tons and with a diameter of over 11 metres. Four of these units will support the substation and the rest will support the turbines of the wind turbines. The wind farm, promoted by the Danish multinational Ørsted and the Polish energy group PGE, will be installed on the Polish side of the Baltic Sea and will generate 1.5 gigawatts of electricity from 2027.
