Navantia Seanergies has been elected to join WindEurope’s Management Committee following the vote held on 24 June by the association’s full membership, which includes industrial companies, developers and national wind energy associations across Europe. Navantia will be represented on the committee by Abel Méndez, Chief Commercial Officer of Navantia Seanergies.
The appointment of Navantia Seanergies to this governing body, responsible for the management and strategic execution of the association, reinforces the company’s role within the European wind industry, particularly in the offshore segment, and underscores its commitment to sustainable development, industrial innovation and the energy transition.
In this new role, Navantia Seanergies will contribute its expertise to promote synergies between the Security & Defence sector and offshore wind at a time when Europe’s defence strategy is increasingly linked to energy autonomy. The company will also support the development of a globally competitive European sector and help enhance Europe’s overall competitiveness.
Furthermore, Navantia Seanergies is well positioned to foster collaboration across the entire ecosystem, including developers, OEMs, ports, regulators and industry associations, which is essential to driving solutions that benefit the sector as a whole.

In the words of Abel Méndez, Chief Commercial Officer of Navantia Seanergies:
“The European wind sector is at a key moment, and at Navantia Seanergies we aim to bring a practical, industrial and international perspective, always focused on collaboration between suppliers, developers and regulators.”
Navantia Seanergies’ presence on the Management Committee strengthens its role as a key player in the offshore wind value chain and reinforces its commitment to a sustainable, resilient and competitive energy model in Europe.
